When I started my pride merch business I promised that I would donate half of all profits with a LGBTQIA non profit, to support my community. I selected the Trevor Project, and I recently made my first donation! It’s not much but every bit help, and I hope to make this a yearly "end of pride month" tradition!
I had a blast selling at Somerville New Jersey's family pride night,, I met a lot of very nice supportive people and everyone seemed to be having a great time. I hope to be back next year with a bigger product selection and absolutely a credit card reader! I never want to do an event without one again! Now that Pride Month is finished I’m taking the time to work on my business. I have been uploading more art to Redbubble and Zazzle, working on my SEO for Zazzle and my marketing for Etsy, and adding content to my website to hopefully someday qualify for adsense! I’ll be adding some new free pride flag graphics later this week! Omnigender, Quiogender, and Aporaender! I’m also thinking of adding a short blurb about each flag, with links to more information. That’s a lot of ground to cover so it might take a while. Haven’t figured out the best way to do that without distracting from the images yet. Hopefully I’ll figure something out soon. I’m also keeping an ear out for any pride friendly local events that might need vendors, so if anyone hears of any (in Central New Jersey) please post a comment below.

Next Thursday from 6 pm to 9 pm I will be vending at Family Pride Night on Division Street in Somerville New Jersey!
I will be selling socks, bags, pins, and notebooks! Family Pride Night will include a Drag DJ, live music, games and activities, giveaways and more! Sponsored by Downtown Somerville New Jersey, New Jersey American Water, and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset! I've recently added some new classic "hi my name is" style nametags and badges to my Zazzle Shop! You can find them all HERE
These are available in two different name tag styles and as badges with optional lanyard and retractable clips! These are prefect for Pride events at work, school, etc, etc, etc! My goal is to have these avaiable for every LGBTQIA+ identity and subculture so stay tuned! I had so much fun vending at CloverCon this year! I met so many amazing friendly people! And I hope to meet many more lovely members of the Queer Community at my next event (TBD)
I was very happy with my table set up (see photos below) but I have to admit I was a bit jealous of the other sellers who have large display pieces that give their table so much impressive height! I'll have to figure out how to display my products higher up for future events. I'd also love to figure out a convenient way to display my scarves at a table. Maybe someday when I get a tent for outdoor events, or rent a 10x10 space, 'I'll have room for a nice big clothing rack. I'm looking forward to vending at more pride events in the future, if you know of a Pride event looking for vendors int the Central New Jersey area, please let me know in the comments! To kick off Pride Month 2023 I thought I would share the abstract rainbow animations I made last year! These are royalty free under creative commons, for anyone to use, for personal or commercial use! Find the license information and download link in the description on YouTube! (Music credit is in the description as well) I'll be posting some new free pride flag graphics soon so stay tuned! |
